Most filaments used in scientific equipment can be repaired.  Whether they come from a mass spectrometer, an RGA, x-ray generator filament / heater, we are able to restore them to an ‘as new’ condition by appropriate cleaning methods and replacement of the filament ribbon or wire, and heater coils.

Don’t throw away those burnt out filaments as they usually have a specialist ceramic isolation piece that can be salvaged which results in a refurbished filament being significantly cheaper than buying the manufacturers new part.  At SS Scientific we are equipped with alignment jigs and facilities to provide an experienced repair for an extensive range of filaments (see opposite).  Even if your filament is not listed please contact us as we strive for the widest range possible.
